Electrochemical Expert
Do you love chemistry and spending long hours in a wetlab working with dangerous solutions? We have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for chemical engineers or materials scientists to help us optimize the formulation and structure of our hydrogen-barrier coating
You will be able to carry out deep tech research in our lab facility, as well as collaborate with other labs and universities for outsourced jobs. Moreover, we want you to spread the outcome of this research through scientific publications and conference talks.
A bit more details…
The schedule is somewhat flexible, but highly experiment-dependent: if the experiment requires you to be in the lab, you need to be in the lab, but you can plan it ahead of time!
The job will focus on the systematic optimization study designed for the hydrogen-barrier coating (to be carried out in our labs in Rockville), but it might involve travelling to Newark (NJ) to our mechatronics lab to help with robot development.
Development of industrially scalable processing methods (e.g. spraying, evaporation, conversion coatings) for future hydrogen transport and storage infrastructure.
Last but not least, you will also have the chance to optimize the hydrogen out-pumping setup and bring that to market!
Requirements
On-site position in Rockville, MD
B.Sc. or above (M.Sc. or Ph.D. highly preferred) in Materials Science and Engineering or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
The candidate should be well versed and experienced in laboratory practices and material processing, especially surface treatments, coatings, and electrochemistry
Must be a fast learner, highly motivated and a proactive performer
